Happy Mother's Day

To all the Moms Happy Mother's Day! You're all these things and more. I hope you enjoyed your day.

Hey May, Hey Ya'll

So I'm not mad at myself.  Last month I posted a whopping 9 post!  Yay me, a lot better compared to previous months and I hope to post more this month.  Just wanted to pop in and say hey. ;)

Sad vs Celebrate Life vs Death

Prince, Roger Nelson 1958 - 2016

If you been rocking with me for a while then you know that I'm a Prince fan.  I'm not going to use past tense because his untimely death doesn't change that, I am and always will be a fan.   To see him in concert one day was on my life's to-do list.

I was shocked more than I was saddened when I first got news of his death.  I'm now more reflective than I am saddened.  Will I get to a place of sadness,  I'm not sure.  Maybe one day his absence in the world of music will sadden me.  True artist today are slim to none.  I will miss him, his music, his fashion, his side-eyes.

I believe Prince lived til the day he died.  And to me, there is no sadness in that.  Only celebration of that life.

I may not be able to see him in concert but his music and legacy will live on.

What's your favorite Prince song or how has his death affected you?

My On-line Store Gems

One thing I find myself doing in the wee hours of the morning while everyone is asleep. Is shopping  online.  Here are a few of my current faves.

Shop Miss A - love, love, loooovvve this shop.  So much so that I've banned myself from shopping this one for a bit.  Great for accessories, makeup, and jewelry and everything is $1 yup $1.  I've ordered from this shop numerous times and the quality is amazing. So don't let the price tag fool ya.

5 Dollar Fashions - A gem I discovered a while back.  Although all prices aren't $5 dollars I've found some really great clothing pieces and jewelry here.  If you see something cute and they have your size get it or it will be gone.

Romwe - This is a china based shop so be careful with the sizing. I've had some hits and some misses. But overall still one of my faves.

This is not a paid or sponsored post.

Nailing It

What amazing deals have you found lately?  Do share in the comments

What's Real

So really I haven't been into the Real Housewives of Atlanta for maybe 3 years or so now, but when I got word that Kim Fields would be joining the cast for the eighth season.  I had to get back into it.

I don't see the benefit of having cable when you only watch maybe 4 or 5 of the hundred and something channels available to you at $100 dollars or so a month. So I don't have cable.  I purchased the season from amazon so I can watch when I want.  I waited for the season to be over so that I can watch at my own pace.  So far I've made it through episode 8 and so far I haven't been disappointed.

Shade for days is thrown, messy situations nothing has changed as far as that.  And truthfully all the shade and messiness is the reason why I stopped watching.  I mean really, grow up.   But now Kim Fields is in the mix. For me, from what I've seen so far, she is the Real in Real Housewives.  Her  family and career are definitely her #1 prioities.  She's not after attention, drama, chasing money, or being in the spotlight.  For me, she adds a genuine innocence to the group.

My only question is will she last?  There is already a rumor that she has left the show.  I guess time will tell.  Her addition to the cast, for me, is a breath of fresh air.  Something the show could use.

So, what have you been watching this season?

Two Weeks And Counting

Hey y' all, hi Spring! So glad your all here.  Have you noticed I've changed things up a bit around the blog?  How have you all been?  I hope and pray that things are all well.  As for me life if fabulous. I have a lot to be thankful for and I'm not going to complain.

It's Easter weekend and I have nothing big planned, but the weekend has been great so far.  And I have to say that I'm on a roll. This weekend and last weekend have been filled with fun and crazy worship. So much so that I wanted to share.

Lets start with last weekend.

Tasha Cobbs, have you heard of her?  She's not new to gospel music but I just started listening to her music a few months ago.  And her songs have been replaying in my head and ipod every since.    Well that's all good, you say, but what does it have to do with last weekend?

I got to see her live!!

Yes, live. The worship service was amazing, and it was all for a good cause. My only regret is not taking more pics. My sister accompanied me and well we don't get out much. LOL.

One thing that has stayed with me from the concert is her commentary about her song lyrics and how they came about. She is so funny and it was a great night of music and worship.

Moving on to this weekend...

So like I said I don't get out much. So it don't take much to make my weekend great. This weekend wasn't planned unlike last weekend. A simple trip to the post office turned into another great weekend.

It started with a drive. Yes, a drive. I love to get in the car sometime and just drive. We ended up in the college town of Tempe. So many places to eat and shop and well gain a higher learning. We stopped for something to eat and then people watched for a while. We then decided to catch a movie. Something we haven't done since seeing the movie "Creed" sometime in January.

Nothing playing at the local theater so we had to go to the next town over. We chose the movie "Race". The story of Jesse Owens and the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. The movie wasn't bad, it was just a recap of what we already knew. But, it still made my weekend great!

And to end the evening a wrong turn almost took us to Mexico. We drove a good 5 miles or so, before realizing we where going the wrong way home. LOL

Let me know what fun or not so much fun you've been having.  Cheers to the weekend.  Til' next time.

Follow Up to Your Two Cents Post: Video

I made this video yesterday. Just wanted you to know how things worked out from my "Your Two Cents Is Welcomed" post.

Umm.. January That Was Quick

My how time is flying by. January is already gone. That was fast.
Oh well, February welcome.  Looking forward to all that is in store for me this month.  A lot going on and just wanted to stop in and say Hi to you all.

Hey y'all!

Your Two Cents Is Welcomed

The relationship is complicated and has a long back story to it.  What it boils down to is should I or should I not.  I haven't spoken to this person in two or three years.  When we did speak it didn't end well. We just can't see eye to eye.  Although I can honestly say that I will always love and care for this person, just not as before.

Yesterday I found out that this person had a serious car accident a few weeks ago and was hurt.  When I found out my heart dropped.   I want this person to know that they are in my thoughts and prayers.  They don't know that I am aware of what happened.  I had the idea to maybe send them a get well basket.  Just not sure how they would receive this gesture.

Somethings telling me to go with the gesture anyway, while something is also telling me to continue on while keeping them in my prayers and also continuing to keep my distance.

Does my circumstance make any sense, if so can a sista get two cents.

Twenty Sixteen

So we made it! If your reading this I pray that your in good health and spirits.  We are a week and some days into the new year, and all I want to say is Thank You!

Thank you God, for allowing me, my family and friends another year. Thank you all who read my blog and comment on my post. I can't thank you all enough.

For me, Twenty-sixteen is gonna be about doing that thang.  Not just talking about it, but just doing it and talking about it after it's done.  So much I want to do and improve upon in the new year.  I hope you all join me.

Peace, love, and abundant blessings in the new year.
