Drinking from my saucer

I've never made a fortune, and it's probably too late now.
But I don't worry about that much, I'm happy anyhow
And as I go along life's way,
I'm reaping better than I sowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed.

Haven't got a lot of riches,
and sometimes the going's tough
But I've got loving ones all around me,
and that makes me rich enough.
I thank GOD for his Blessings,
and the Mercies HE's bestowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed.

I remember times when things went wrong,
My faith wore somewhat thin.
But all at once the dark clouds broke,
and the sun peeped through again.

So LORD, help me not to gripe,
about the tough rows I have hoed.
I'm drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed.

If GOD gives me strength and courage,
When the way grows steep and rough.
I'll not ask for other blessings,
I'm already Blessed enough.

And may I never be too busy,
to help others bear their loads..
Then I'll keep drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed.

When I think of how many people in this world have it worse than I do, I realize just how BLESSED we really are.

Don't be too busy today...Share this inspiring message with friends and family.

People, Places, Things installment #2

I was a busy, busy bee this weekend. And I just wanted to share a few things  I made and the inspirations for them all.

These do- hickys and this fabric

Inspired me to make this shirt and these accessories

This tee shirt, it inspired me to turn it into an off the shoulder tee.

This movie is fun, funny, has action and makes you think it so inspired me. Here are a few of my favorite lines.

The Mad Hatter: [to Alice] You used to be much more..."muchier." You've lost your muchness.
Alice Kingsley: I try to believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
I'm not sure who said this: If it ain't Alice it ain't dead!

What inspired you this weekend?

I have a review on a particular product thats been doing my hair alot of good. I'll be doing that one day soon. And I also have a hair related give-a-way coming soon.  So stay with me luvlies.

And God Said No

by Claudia Minden Weisz

I asked God to take away my pride. And God said “No”.
He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. And God said “No”.
He said her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience. And God said “No”.
He said patience is a by-product of tribulations. It isn’t granted, it is earned.

I asked God to give me happiness. And God said “No”.
He said He gives me blessings, happiness is up to me.

I asked God to spare me pain. And God said “No”.
He said suffering draws me apart from worldly cares and brings me closer to Him.

I asked God to make my spirit grow. And God said “No”.
He said I must grow on my own. But He will prune me to make me fruitful.

I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. And God said “No”.
He said He will give me life, that I may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me love others, as much as he loves me.
And God said “Ah, finally you have the idea!”

Heaven’s Grocery Store

by Ron DeMarco
I was walking down life’s highway a long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read “Heaven’s Grocery Store”.
As I got a little closer, the door came open wide,
And when I came to myself, I was standing inside.

I saw a host of Angels, they were standing everywhere.
One handed me a blanket and said, “My child, shop with care”.
Everything a Christian needs is in that grocery store,
And all you can’t carry, come back the next day for more.

First, I got some Patience, Love was in the same row.
Further down was Understanding, needed everywhere you go.
I got a box or two of Wisdom, a bag or two of Faith,
I just couldn’t miss the Holy Ghost, it was all over the place.

I stopped to get some Strength and Courage to help me run this race,
But then my blanket was getting full, and I remembered I needed Grace.
I didn’t forget Salvation, which like the others was free,
So I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me.

Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything to do my Master’s will.
As I went up the aisle, I saw Prayer, and had to put it in,
For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.

Peace and Joy were plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
Song and Praises were hanging near, so I just helped myself.
Then I said to the Angel, “Now how much do I owe?”
The Angel smiled and said, “Just take them everywhere you go.”

Again, I politely asked, “How much do I really owe?”
The Angel smiled again and said, “My child, Jesus paid your bill a long time ago.”
