Curl cursh

Sigh ...

Just polyvoring

Although a simple white tee and basic jean can be hot all on their own, I was inspired to take these simple and basic pieces and allow them to play backup and let some great accessory pieces have the lead.

If money was no object I would rock this outfit to the T, but the total cost of this fit would be $1443, and that's not happening. The bulk of the cost being the Paul Smith bag at $910. But I do think this could be done with similar pieces with smaller price tags. I will be on the look out.

Simply Drastic

The shoes are the stand out piece here and alone cost $1610. And may be a little harder to come by with a smaller price tag, but with a pair of strappy sandals and a bedazzler...LOL. Yep, I would make it happen.

It's been a long time

but Lauryn Hill so left us with one of the greatest albums ever,to step to. The mis-education album, not the no beat one (I'm not sure what that one was all about). And I am so patiently waiting for her to do another album, for real. This past weekend Lauryn performed at the Raggamuffin Music Festival in New Zealand. She performed the hit "Doo Wop" (That Thing), and yes she still got it. The band was playing a little to fast causing her to have to speed up her flow and she still killed it. You go girl! I so miss her.

Do you have a favorite Lauryn Hill song? Let me know.

Somebody smack me

cause I know I'm looking good!! Said this dress to me when I came across it on, "The Quest for "it"". I'm not sure who the designer is. From what I could tell from the post, there was a design competition and this dress was in it. And I usually just admire and appreciate the beauty of things, but I am lusting for this dress. Lord please forgive me.

The results please

OK, so finally I attempted a twist out and with it being my first try, not that bad at all. I still need to get the right mix of product for my hair, but all and all it turned out good. I would let you see but I couldn't get any good pics. So maybe next time.

Haiti prayer and support

I'm sure you've heard of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake to hit Haiti yesterday. There are many ways to show your support to help aid the people and help to rebuild. Here are a few:

* Prayer

* Donate by texting “HAITI” to 90999. A $10 donation will be charged to your cell phone bill that will go to the Red Cross. To donate larger amounts you can visit:

* Or text “YELE” to 501501 to donate $5 to the Yele Foundation, founded by music artist Wyclef Jean. Visit to donate larger amounts.

* Other reputable organizations you can donate to include: Samaritan’s Purse & Unicef.

There are also comments being made as to why this happened, all I can say is that nobody knows the mind of God but God himself.

Good luck with those....

A picture is worth a thousand words......

but directions would also be nice. It would be so nice to know how she made these. If I only knew, I would soooo attempt to make me one. I especially like the top two.

A Bible Verse

This is a bible verse I've be meditating on lately...

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
For me, this is the year of just do it. I would love to sit and talk, but I got some things to do.
